Edge_2008_04_238x276_english Crytek is known for games that break the backs of PCs for full generations (and maybe more). What it is not known for is portable games. Gameguru reports that the Crysis developer is looking into handheld development as they are looking for PSP programmers for their offices in Budapest, Hungary.

Applicants have to be hardcore programmers with experience working on a PS2, PSP or DS title, 3D engines and other technical stuff. Also, the selected person will have to relocate to Hungary to work at the studio.

What strikes me most is that many developers are abandoning the PSP, with the most recent being Ready at Dawn, the makers of God of War: Chains of Olympus. Maybe Crytek has more up their sleeves than we are aware of.
