Tecmo Gagging Team Ninja Leader

nobu284_embed Striking back at Tomonobu Itagaki, the Team Ninja leader who very publicly resigned, Tecmo has filed a gag order with the Tokyo District Court to restrict Itagaki from speaking further about the several pending lawsuits against the company.

The order restricts Itagaki from disclosing or leaking information about Tecmo’s software and development, using the media to criticize the company’s products or employees, speaking to the press about Tecmo and making slanderous remarks to third parties.

Tecmo has been going through tough times recently with the resignation of the superstar developer, as well as lawsuits from him and another one from the entire workforce alleging the company to have instituted an illegal “flexible hours” scheme.
