Versus XIII Still on Track

We reported yesterday that development on Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been put on hold, citing Famitsu as a source. It seems the venerable Japanese gaming magazine got it wrong this time, as Square Enix revealed through EuroGamer that development on the game is still on track.
“Reports that development for Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on hold are false,” the company said. “The truth of the situation is that when free, some staff from the Versus team have been helping with the XIII team on development of Final Fantasy XIII.”
Neither games have any release date at the moment. They are expected to be shown at E3 as well as the Tokyo Game Show this Fall.
