PS3 Fanboy has a major scoop, reporting a pair of images from anonymous tipsters that reveal a first look at the PS3’s trophy system, an Achievement-like tracker that it set to be included in the upcoming v2.40 firmware update for the console.
The images show the PS3’s Trophy page (pictured) indicating that awards will be divided into four classes – bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Another image displays a corresponding page which details general user profile information, such as a PlayStation Network username and trophy count. The tipster revealed that each trophy will be worth different number of points, with the platinum trophies bearing the most points.
Sony, in its announcement last week, has mentioned that details on the upcoming firmware update will be disclosed prior to its release sometime this Summer.
