The Who Compilation Pack Announced

June 30th, 2008 Posted in DLC, Music, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 by Rajiv Ashrafi

The-Who-Poster-C12171698 The Who fans will be sad to know that the promised release of the band’s entire “Who’s Next” album on Rock Band has been cancelled due to several master tracks turning up missing. However, it has been replaced by a 12-track compilation of the band’s best songs – “My Generation” and “Who Are You” have been revealed so far.

Each song will sell individually for $1.99, with the whole compilation going for $19.99.

“We were trying to release ‘Who’s Next’ in its entirety, but we were unable to locate all the masters,” Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos told The Associated Press. “In the face of that, [surviving band members] Pete [Townshend] and Roger [Daltrey] helped curate this best-of soundtrack of everything we were able to find.”

The tracks will hit Xbox Live Arcade July 15; PS3 users get it two days later.
