1UP’s latest podcast dismisses recent murmurs of Kratos appearing in the PS3 version of Soul Calibur 4. However, there is still a possibility that the deity-slaying, vein-popping Spartan hero will make an appearance in the game through future downloadable content, but all that is not relevant now.
The fighting game franchise is notorious for including platform-specific characters. Soul Calibur 2 introduced this, offering Heihachi, Spawn and Link on PS2, Xbox and Gamecube, respectively. The upcoming fourth entry will offer Darth Vader and Yoda on PS3 and Xbox 360, respectively, with both consoles getting Vader’s apprentice who will make his debut in Star Wars: Force Unleashed due for release this Fall.
