DigitalBattle Creature Contest

July 7th, 2008 Posted in News by Erich Jurgens

DigitalBattle is holding a competition to see who can flex their creative muscles the most in a chance to win a free, full copy of Spore. No lotteries, no draws, just pure creativity. All you have to do is use the Creature Creator to make a mascot for DigitalBattle. The guidelines for the competition are as follows:

  1. This should go with out saying, but don’t include anything inappropriate. Nothing sexual, obscene, crude, racist, etc;
  2. Although creativity plays a massive role in the decision of the winner, the creature that is ultimately picked is the one we deem as the best mascot. Don’t add a bunch of extra things to your creature if it results in it being a poor representation.
  3. Only submit your own creation. Not only does this mean that you can not post something that has been created by someone else, but please refrain from using franchise properties. Sure Big Daddies are cool, but they are a great example of what wont be accepted.
  4. Once you have created you creature, upload it to sporepedia. Once you have done that, leave a comment providing it’s name, a little bit of info regarding your creature, and a link to the .png image of your creature. If your comment does not appear right away, do not worry, it is just going through moderation. As long as you post before the due date, your creature will be judged.

If you are selected as the winner, you can pick one of the following versions of Spore as your prize: Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X, and Spore Creatures for the Nintendo DS. The contest ends July 25th. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave a message in the comments field.
