Infinity Ward Working on New Project

Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling revealed that the Call of Duty series creator is working on a new project and may be planning a new original property in addition to its franchise development.

Bowling added that work on the company’s next project has already begun, though he wouldn’t elaborate. He also mentions that the company has renewed its contract with Activision.

“The recently renegotiated deal may not seem like much of an impact from the outside perspective,” he wrote on his blog. “But it has laid the ground work and kick started our future project, as well as the possibility of a unique new IP by Infinity Ward, that we’ll have complete control over.”

No solid information on the company’s new franchise is known at the moment, but many are speculating that the project may be sci-fi in nature, with the company hoping to differentiate it from Call of Duty.
