Fallout 3 Refused Classification In Australia

The upper age limit on Australia’s game ratings board is 15+ which is severely hampering the attempts of companies attempting to get games aimed an adult audience released down under. Dark Sector is the most recent title to retool some content in order to get the game released there. Now Bethesda’s upcoming Fallout 3 has hit the same stumbling block. The Office of Film and Literature refused the game a classification on July 4th. While no official reasons are given, the game is known to feature many adult themes including drug use and addiction, slavery and a generous dose of violence poured over the whole thing.
