Midway Lauches Digital Storefronts

July 11th, 2008 Posted in PC by Jeff Baker

Midway has today announced the launch of it’s new digital storefront www.MidwayArcade.com. Retro gamers will be able to digitally purchase classic titles such as Spy Hunter and Joust, coming in bundles of 3 games for $5.

Not only this, but Midway has announced the launch of it’s second digital storefront at their main website, www.midway.com, leaving the classic games behind and making more recent games like Unreal Tournament 3, Area 51, and The Suffering for as little as $9.99 a game.

With Midway hopping on the downloadable purchase bandwagon, is this a glimpse at the future? A world’s economy completely dealt through the internet? No, but that would be cool.
