Photo_Jon-Bon-Jovi_304RGB Courtesy of the latest issue of Game Informer magazine comes the revelations of new Rock Band 2 tracks and a few other details. First up are the songs:

  • Bon Jovi – “Livin’ on a Prayer”
  • Steve Miller Band – “Rock ‘n Me”
  • Rage Against the Machine – “Testify”
  • Billy Idol – “White Wedding Pt. 1″
  • Joan Jett – “Bad Reputation”
  • Avenged Sevenfold – “Almost Easy”
  • Social Distortion – “I Was Wrong”

According to the magazine, the game will include a redesigned drum peripheral with quieter, velocity-sensitive pads, a metal-reinforced drum pedal and expansion slots for cymbals.

A jukebox mode will allow players to listen to their songs outside of gameplay; a track selection screen reminiscent of the current Rock Band music store; lag calibration; “tuning” of instruments and more. You will also be able to pose your characters, add visual effects and take a photo; these images can be uploaded to the game’s official website.

The game is due out this September on Xbox 360, with PS3, PS2 and Wii versions being prepped for release later in the year.
