Third-party Motion-controlled Xbox 360 Controller Announced
July 12th, 2008 by Rajiv Ashrafi in Hardware, Xbox360
Keeping in mind the recent Xbox 360 motion controller rumors, hardware developer Motus Games today announced Darwin, a motion-controlled Xbox 360 controller that is capable of breaking down into two parts.
The controller makes use of a number of sensors to detect motion and relative movement, without the use of an infrared receiver like the Wii controller. Motus notes that Darwin is currently being distributed to developers and publishers, and that it could be ready for the market in about a year.
There are several videos on the maker’s site showing off the controller being used in a number of games, including Lego Star Wars 2.
