Gears of War 2 Gets New MP Maps, Bots Support

20080426_gearsofwar2 Gears of War 2 information is coming in at an alarming rate. First up is the unveiling of ‘Day-One’, a new multiplayer map for the game that features a huge emergence hole in the center. The map is one of about ten that will be included in the final game.

In more maps-related news, the ‘Subway’ map from the original Gears’ “Hidden Fronts” DLC pack will be included in the game, with player-controlled tanks being thrown in.

Finally, the biggest revelation is the inclusion of AI bots in the game’s multiplayer modes. While it has been a staple in Epic’s Unreal Tournament series, it is completely new to the Gears franchise.
