E3 2008: Guitar Hero World Tour Music Creation Detailed
July 18th, 2008 by Rajiv Ashrafi in E3, Music, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox360
Details of the upcoming music creation feature in Guitar Hero: World Tour has been detailed by publisher Activision.
The game will allow users to use electronic drum kits and beat boxes; beat tracks can be composed on percussion synthesizers and put directly into the game to compose songs. There will also be a drum machine within the game, offering you the chance to program loops with samples ranging from 8-bit to Indian sounds.
Drum machine programming and keyboard playing can be performed via the game’s guitar, where notes are controlled by fret buttons and the tilt of the controller changes the octave.
You will be able to further edit the tracks using GHMix, an in-game sequences that will allow you to edit together songs using created tracks.
Guitar Hero: World Tour is due out this Fall on PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
