Activision-Blizzard to Cut Jobs

Now that the merger between Activision and Vivendi has been completed, employees of the newly formed Activision-Blizzard can expect to have their jobs cut. So says company CEO Thomas Tippl, who, speaking to MCV, noted that they are creating an “all-star team” from the staff of the two companies, but added that “overlaps” will lead to job cuts.
He, however, added that the company’s headcount will grow in the long term.
“We will try to put the best team together – the all-star team,” he said. “We’ll update both companies’ skill and experience levels and become a formidable company.”
