E3 2008: Sega Prez: No Shenmue 3

shenmue Many gamers have been breeding secret hopes of seeing a second Shenmue sequel on next-gen consoles, but it won’t happen. Sega president Simon Jeffery shot down those hopes, stating that there are no plans for Shenmue 3 now. However, to keep our hopes alive, he didn’t say there’s “not a chance.” Right?

Rumors of a third game in the franchise came up before E3, noting that the company was bringing the first two games to the Wii.

Nothing has come out on the project so far.

it’s a shame that shenmue 3 won’t be coming out for some time, or at all for that matter. to leave such a beautiful story unfinished to the mainstream public is dissapointing. really hope to see it released for all systems, wii, ps3 and the xbox360 in the original plan that they had of releasing it as a 3 game set. that would be absolutely amazing.
