Sonic Going Medieval

July 21st, 2008 Posted in Adventure, News, Wii by Will Prusik

It seems Sonic is trying to compete with Mario in terms of versatility as his next big Wii adventure will take him into a medieval world in Sonic and the Black Knight where apparently speed isn’t quite enough. Proving that accessorizing really is important the Blue Blur will be getting a metal gauntlet and oversized sword to go with his stylish red sneakers.

This teaser image graced the cover of long-running official Nintendo magazine Nintendo Power. It’s set to take place after Sonic and The Secret Rings and will have Sonic thrown back through time. While many fans are hoping for a game that will successfully revitalize the series, many hardcore fans are bemoaning the continual drifting away from the original direction of the Sonic games. It seems that Sonic isn’t quite as versatile as the world’s most famous Italian plumber in the eyes of the public.
