Wipeout HD Held Up Due To Failed Epilepsy Tests

While every video game comes with a warning on the inside label informing gamers of the possible dangers of epileptic seizures brought on by a multitude of flashing lights and colors that most games have, there is a certain threshold video games must pass in order to be deemed safe enough to be released. After the PS3 racing title Wipeout HD was a no-show at E3 many wondered why.
It seems that the chaotic, fast paced futuristic racer failed the tests so completely it’ll have to be re-engineered extensively before it’s released. While this unfortunately pushes the release date of the game back, it’s for the best, as beating an opponent fairly is much more satisfying than winning because your friend is too busy convulsing on the floor to steer around hairpin turns.
