July 29th, 2008 Posted in Business, News, Xbox 360 by Will Prusik

xboxliveAfter Microsoft dropped the subscription fees for Games for Windows online games, some Xbox 360 owners with the free Silver Xbox Live membership discovered that they were able to play cross-platform titles including Lost Planet and Shadowrun. Microsoft has said that this will only be available for a limited period of time. Since this seems more like a glitch than a ‘promotion’ as they’re calling it, “a limited period of time” likely translates to “however long it takes us to get this fixed”.
