Informing Variety, Sony Pictures revealed that with the Ghostbusters game currently without a publisher, they are thinking about delaying its release until next year. The company revealed that the current situation has provided them an “opportunity to… potentially coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original film in 2009.”
Sony would not say whether the possible delay could provide the developers with more time. The game was originally set for release this Fall on PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, DS and Xbox 360. Terminal Reality is working on the major platforms, with Red Fly tackling Wii and DS versions.
