Seen the awesomeness of Dead Space? Some of that awesomeness can now be attributed to prolific comic book author Warren Ellis, who revealed that he played a significant role in writing the upcoming sci-fi survival horror game.
“I got released from an NDA the other day, so I can finally say that I wrote a bunch of the groundwork, backstory and structure on the forthcoming EA videogame Dead Space,” he stated in a recent newsletter. “I believe there was at least one other writer on the project, but I’m sure there’s some of me in there somewhere.”
Ellis is best known for comic books such as Transmetropolitian and Iron Man: Extremis, among others. He has also worked on 2001 title Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising and has a forthcoming television show.
Dead Space, as the name suggests, is set in space, having the player confront alien monsters and whatnot. It is due out this Fall on PS3 and Xbox 360.
