asus eee stick Computer hardware maker Asus has announced a new Wii-like controller called the Eee Stick, promising to bring motion controls to PC. The controller includes an “Activation Stick” with seven buttons, which is paired with a “Navigation Stick” that has an analog stick. Both incorporate additional buttons on the front end, mimicking the layout of the Wii Nunchuk controller.

The controller will support 3D motion, pointing and tilt sensing, among other things. It will support a 2.4GHz RF signal for wireless capabilities, and they are not tethered to each other. The Eee Stick will be powered by four AA batteries, with two in each stick.

It is slated to appear alongside future iterations of the company’s popular Eee PC and Eee Box computers. A series of games will be included to highlight the use of the controller. No release date or pricing was given.
