Blizzard Looking For New Art Director For Diablo III

August 11th, 2008 Posted in Business, News, PC, RPG by Will Prusik

You’ll have to make up your own mind as to whether or not Brian Morrisroe; the original art director resigned due to the fan complaints, but he is in fact resigining. Going his own way to create a startup technology company out of the video game industry, this opens a new spot for an art director for the upcoming action-rpg. Unfortunately for fans upset by the change in visual stylings Blizzard is planning on keeping the style that Mr. Morrisroe originally created.

A Blizzard rep said: “This change won’t impact the game…we’re really pleased with the look and feel that Brian helped create for Diablo III, and the new person we bring on board will work with the other artists on the team to maintain the art style moving forward.” They said that the fan-altered screenshots greatly hindered variety and replayability.
