Thanks to an FCC filing we have concrete proof that there is a new generation of PSPs in the works. Referred to as the PSP-3000 series, the first of them which is appropriately designated the PSP-3001 has been made visible to the public.
Unfortunately it’s hard to say what has changed as thus far the schematics seem more or less the same as the existing models. Rumors about the redesign of the ‘home’ button or a built-in microphone so far seem to be false. Of course there’s a whole lot of information protected by various confidentiality laws so whatever changes have been made are likely either on the inside, shrouded in secrecy or both.
