Warhammer Online Almost Gold
Ever since World of Warcraft shot to the top of the MMO charts people have been wondering and conjecturing at what will knock it from its throne (if indeed anything ever will). A solid contender is the World of Warhammer MMO as the Warhammer games have been around for years and already have a hugely solid fanbase. While it is true that the playing style of the MMO will be vastly different from the tabletop game the hopes of many are that it’ll deliver a truly immersive Warhammer experience.
The game is reportedly very close to completion according to Mythic Entertainment’s creative director Paul Barnett. He expects the ‘client code’ of the game to go gold next week. That’s essentially just the software you’ll purchase to play the game from your computer. They’ll be working on tweaking and optimizing the server software up til the launch in mid-September.
