While Sony may be having good times in Europe and America with the PS3, the Xbox 360 scored a small victory in Japan, outselling the PS3 2.5-1. The American-designed console has so far been a major flop in the country, being outsold by the PS2 on a regular basis. In fact, the Xbox 360 shifted only 5, 300 units last week, but sold almost 25,000 during the week ending August 10.
The console’s jump in popularity is attributed to the release of Tales of Vesperia, which debuted at number 4 in the software chart. The PS3 sold an embarrassingly low number of 10,000 units; the Wii was comfortably in the top spot, moving 38,000 units.
