New House Of The Dead For Wii
If there’s one true hardcore gaming experience that the Wii has been able to deliver on from day one, it’s the arcade style light gun rails shooter. Looking back on my gaming life that’s probably one of the most addictive styles of gaming for me. Whether it was the tangible feel of the light gun in my hands in an era when everything was simple joysticks and buttons or the fact that so many of the games had you blasting zombies, it was quite a good time.
For anyone with a similar fascination with either zombie slaying or more tactilely immersive gaming there’s some good news. Classic light gun shooter House of The Dead is getting a new installment. House Of The Dead: Overkill is a Wii exclusive that takes the series backwards; chronologically speaking. The game will flesh out the history behind the games. The first trailer of the game shows a distinctly pulp-horror style to it. The two protagonists (because of course there’ll be co-op) are Special Agent G (the standard suit-clad sunglasses wearing agent) and Detective Washington (an African-American bearing a shotgun who’d likely be played by Samuel L Jackson in the film).
