Finally breaking the code of silence on Duke Nukem Forever, George Broussard of 3D Realms offered word that the game is finally coming together.
“There are several hours of fairly polished game to play,” he said, adding that they are currently getting feedback from play testers. “It’s fun, it’s in focus, we know what bits are fun and which are not, and it’s just a matter of time now. I’ve probably never been as happy or excited about the game as I am these days.”
It has been a decade since the game entered development. Hopefully it will be released sometime soon… maybe in the next five years or so.

1Yeah, in 10 years the only thing that they claim to have accomplished is ““several hours of fairly polished game to play”. Fairly polished, mind you, not even completed.
Seriously, why do sites post about this POS? I am now seriously considering removing DigitalBattle from my feeds.

2I removed it long ago, but still drop by every now and then. I think the fact that they’ve probably switched engines several times over and scrapped the game and started again a couple of times would have something to do with only having a couple of hours of fairly polished gameplay. Making a game isn’t as simple as having an idea and creating a game when you’ve got such huge expectations to fill.
If it comes out and no one likes it then it’s going to be the joke of the gaming industry instead of just being snickered at like it is now.
