Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Getting Sequel

August 28th, 2008 Posted in Action, News, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 by Will Prusik

While some series get stale after a time, the Dynasty Warriors series has kept going despite the generally unchanged gameplay and characters from title to title. The series got a big boost in terms of freshness with the release of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. Instead of random characters you might not have much of a connection to, you get to play as favorite characters from the various Gundam anime series piloting their mobile suits against hordes of enemies. Famitsu has just announced that a sequel will be coming to the PS3, PS3 and Xbox 360, with the title in Japan being Gundam Musou 2.

Set to debut in Japan on December 4th, the game is set to feature new characters and mobile suits, including some featured in the first feature film of the anime, “Char’s Counter Attack”. I’m silently praying that Deathscythe and Shenlong/Altron get put in. The game will introduce battles with giant Mobile Armor units which tower over regular mobile suits.
