With the PSP3000 being officially announced and revealed to the world at the Leipzig Gaming Convention we’ve got many things to look forward to. A slimmer profile, possible controller compatibility and a much brighter screen come at a price. “Battery life will decrease by a small amount {compared to the PSP Slim}. It’s about 20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes, and that’s because there’s a larger power draw with the brighter screen,” admitted John Koller, a marketing rep for Sony Computer Entertainment America. Hopefully they’ll release an extended battery as they did with the PSP slim as battery life can be a serious limitation on enjoyment when you’re on a train/airplane/bus.
