The Wii is the current market leader and other companies are beginning to realize they should followed Nintendo’s steps in providing cheaper consoles and easily accessible games.
In fact, Sony CEO Howard Stringer praised Nintendo, confessing that the Wii “may be a superior business model” in an interview with German news outlet Die Welt.
“The major difference lies in the fact that Nintendo makes money with the hardware alone,” he said.
Stringer also talked about recovering the money it spent on the PS3, noting that “it will certainly take some time,” stressing that the company is now making more money on games than it is losing on hardware sales.
