Gears 2 Nearing Completion, More Colorful Than Original

September 2nd, 2008 Posted in Action, News, Shooter, Xbox 360 by Will Prusik

Word from series creator Cliff Bleszinski is that the sequel to third person shooter Gears of War, the unsurprisingly titled Gears of War 2 is almost complete. He cites a percentage of 85-90%, which hopefully won’t be the sort of percentage that frustrates like computer installations: the first big chunk zooms by, but then you’re forced to watch the remaining few percentage points crawl in. In addition to being in the polish stage of things “CliffyB” mentioned that the game won’t be sticking to the infamously bland color palette. This one promises to be a bit more colorful and that if there’s a third title in the series it’ll be a ‘disco town’: “purples, pinks and greens everywhere!” Save your pennies now kids, the title is out November 7th.
