Dead Space Gets Banned In Three Countries

September 5th, 2008 Posted in Business, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 by Will Prusik

There’s good news and bad news in this story. First the bad news: if you’re German, Chinese or Japanese it’s going to take a little bit of wrangling to get your hands on a copy of sci-fi survival horror game Dead Space. The game has been banned in all three countries due to its horrific content. The good news is only for Americans: the release date of the console version has been moved up to October 14th (it hits Europe on October 24th). While it’s not quite as thematically appropriate as the original Halloween release date, it means you won’t have to war with yourself over playing the game or going out for a good natured costumey romp.
