Far Cry 2 Release Date Announced, Dead Space Launching Earlier Than Expected

Ubisoft sent out word that its open-world shooter sequel Far Cry 2 will ship throughout Europe on October 24. No North American release date is known yet, though the publisher has previously stated that the game would be available in the region this Fall.
Far Cry 2 is due out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
In more release date news, EA’s sci-fi survival shooter Dead Space will arrive in North America even earlier than expected. The game is now expected to freak out gamers on PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 14, and PC gamers on October 20. It is scheduled to hit Europe on October 24.
