Remember Ryan Payton, the very vocal Metal Gear Solid 4 producer who recently parted ways with Konami to seek greener pastures? It seems he has found it at Microsoft Game Studios… working on a new Halo title!

Citing a “reliable source”, Shacknews has posted word that Ryan Payton will be serving as creative director on the new Halo project in development by Microsoft Game Studios and Peter Jackson.

Microsoft’s internal Halo team currently consists of Corrinne Yu (ex-Gearbox), Frank O’Connor (ex-Bungie) and is currently seeking more staff.
