September 18th, 2008 Posted in Action, Online, PC by Rajiv Ashrafi

wipblog Gamesindustry reports that Avalanche Studios, the developer of Just Cause and its upcoming sequel, has officially confirmed The Hunter, a free online hunting game for the PC, with a mobile and console version due at a later date.

To be published by Emote Games, the game will enter a beta phase scheduled for next month. It intends on supplying players with social networking tools to build a community of hunters online. Sarah Palin might be interested in that…

The game will use Avalanche’s in-house technology and is said to be partly played in a web browser.

Look for it later this year.
