Gamesindustry reports that Avalanche Studios, the developer of Just Cause and its upcoming sequel, has officially confirmed The Hunter, a free online hunting game for the PC, with a mobile and console version due at a later date.
To be published by Emote Games, the game will enter a beta phase scheduled for next month. It intends on supplying players with social networking tools to build a community of hunters online. Sarah Palin might be interested in that…
The game will use Avalanche’s in-house technology and is said to be partly played in a web browser.
Look for it later this year.
