360 Might Not Have Outsold Wii

The Devil’s currently looking for his receipt to return that parka. A few days ago I reported to you that sales numbers reported an unusual occurrence: the Wii, console king of Japan (should I have gone with emperor?) was dethroned in the week ending September 14th by the Xbox 360.

It seems that those figures might have been wrong. Gaming magazine Famitsu reported that the Xbox 360 had sold 1,600 units more than the Wii. Media Create’s data says that it was the other way around: the Xbox 360 moved 28,188 units, the WIi 29,686.

Even though it’s disputable whether or not the Wii is still the ruler of whatever type in Nintendo’s homeland, it still means that this narrow of a margin of victory shows the Xbox 360 is gaining ground in the console war abroad.
