Gamers Invited To Propose Control Schemes For The Conduit
Everyone’s played a game that they were about 95% happy with. The story is great, the graphics a visual feast and the soundtrack splendidly crafted. That 5% failing comes down to slightly wonky controls that didn’t have the right scheme for you. Some titles eliminate this problem by simply allowing you to map the buttons yourself, but High Voltage Software is going a different route with their Wii shooter The Conduit.
In a conversation about how to best figure out the ideal control schemes for the hardcore-audience-aimed title, they came up with the idea of allowing gamers to send in their own ideas for control schemes and then test them out. The best/most intuitive would then be included in the game itself, with credit going to their creators. Unfortunately there’s no other prize offered,
While the contest is open til November 14th, you might want to get on it soon as possible. While there’s technically a huge number of control schemes possible, there’s probably going to be a lot of overlap in what people will think is a good setup and in the case of duplicate schemes, the first person to submit it will get the credit.
