MGS Existence Uncovered

It didn’t take too long for this to happen: Siliconera has uncovered a trademark filing by Konami for the phrase Metal Gear Solid Existence.

While it lacks further details on the project, the trademark was filed in both US and Japan. It may refer to the beefed up MGS releases that usually accompany the original after some time; i.e. MGS3 Subsistence.

However, it may also be a wholly new game, considering how MGS4 producer Ryan Payton hinted at a fifth game in the series. Time will tell how this turns out.
