Golden Axe: Beast Rider Launch Date

One of the most enjoyable features of the classic arcade side-scroller Golden Axe was the ability to knock your enemies off some odd-looking creatures and then hop on their backs yourself, utilizing their powerful swinging tails or fire breath to wreak havoc on the hordes of Death Adder’s minions.

Given the title that facet of the series will obviously be incorporated into the next-gen title, Golden Axe: Beast Rider. The prequel that sets you in the shoes of Tyris Flare, the sword-swinging, magic-wielding female who was one of the main characters in the arcade game.

Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are all set to be released on October 17th.
