It seems that Capcom is making a mint with the Resident Evil series. In addition to the pending success of Resident Evil 5 they’re going back to the start of the series for another port. Just announced today is that the original title is being re-released on the Wii.
They’re going to be adding a variety of control schemes to make use of the various controllers for the system. There is of course going to be the standard Wiimote and Nunchuck scheme and the game will support both the Gamecube and Classic controller. Capcom is also supposedly working on a scheme where players will be able to hold the Wiimote sideways, reminiscent of the original Nintendo controller.
Sadly, the game is unlikely to be released outside of Japan, as with the Resident Evil Zero remake.
