A new patch for Burnout Paradise has been released by Criterion Games today, adding trophies for the PS3 version of the game. However, the trophies are not going to be awarded retroactively, despite the studio previously stating that they were “thinking ahead” with Trophy support.
A statement from Criterion notes that they tried to retroactively award trophies, but found it impossible during testing. Those who want to earn trophies will have to create a new game save.
Criterion additionally notes that this is the same with all other PS3 games out there that have been patched with trophies. Uncharted comes to mind.
