Gears Of War Zune
Remember how well the decision to make the Halo 3 Zune worked out for Microsoft? By branding the Zune with a popular game title, Microsoft managed to give its MP3 player enough push to eventually dominate the market. iPods are all but unheard of, and the Zune is the standard in music players.
Wait, that didn’t happen? Oh well, maybe if Microsoft tries again they’ll succeed. In any case, the Gears of War 2 themed Zune can’t possibly hurt sales. If nothing else, the box art for the case looks amazing, unlike the background seen above. It comes with 244 pieces of various Gears of War media, including the soundtrack, some concept art, and behind-the-scenes videos. I’ll wager that the concept art and other photos will take up an extremely large part of the 244.
The Gears of War Zune will cost $280, and ships November 7th, which ironically coincides with the launch of Gears of War 2.
