MGS 4 Producer, id Artist Join Halo Team

Microsoft today confirmed rumors that Metal Gear Solid 4 producer Ryan Payton has been recruited into Microsoft Game Studios. The company also noted that they had hired id Software art director Kenneth Scott, too. They are said to have joined the team that is “working on upcoming and existing Halo games.”

The two join a group of “heavy hitters” which includes Corrrinne Yu (Gearbox) and former Bungie writer Frank O’ Connor.

The Halo series is currently undergoing a lot of development, with Gearbox rumored to be working on Halo 4 for the next Xbox console. Series creator Bungie is working on a new campaign for Halo 3, with Ensemble Studios wrapping up work on Halo Wars.
