stargate worlds Rising from the ashes of a dead game, publisher FireSky today announced that the closed beta testing for Stargate Worlds will begin October 15. The game, currently in development at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, was previously thought to be cancelled.

Those who are interested in beta can sign up on the game’s website. More testers will be added to the game as the beta progresses.

It is based on the now-cancelled TV shows Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. Expect it to come out early next year.
