Yes, we all know about the camera, the new size, and the built in media player. But, were the rumors floating around that the Nintendo DSi would be region free too good to be true? Apparently so.
Our buds over at CVG have gotten word, from Nintendo themselves, that all software released (that means virtual and physical) will in fact be region locked. For those of you who don’t know, that means if you purchase a game in Europe, you are going to have to purchase a European DSi to play said game.
Somewhat of a bummer, but with pretty much all of the consoles out there region locked as well, you didn’t REALLY expect anything different, did you?
