deus ex 3 The first details of the long-awaited Deus Ex 3 have been revealed, courtesy of CVG, who is citing the latest issue of PC Zone magazine.

Due late next year, the game will be a prequel to the first two entries. It has the blessing of both Deus Ex and Deus Ex 2 designers Warren Spector and Harvey Smith; additionally, series writer Sheldon Pacotti has been brought on as a consultant.

The prequel is set in 2027 and will feature an art direction that is said to be a meld of renaissance and cyberpunk themes. A better plot is said to be in store for gamers this time around, with you taking on the role of average guy Adam Jensen, who works as a private security officer at a technology lab specializing in biomechanical augmentations.

This time around, stealth will rely on a cover system rather than shadows, and damage will be dealt with by a Call of Duty-esque auto heal. Up to 20 augmentations are promised for the final game and experience points will return. Finally, the studio is taking criticism from its first two titles and will be improving on them.
