Shacknews reports that Blizzard’s highly anticipated action-RPG sequel Diablo III will be playable for the first time on the show floor of the studio’s BlizzCon 2008 convention. They cite event materials as the source.
The site notes that the official BlizzCon program lists the game under “open gaming”, along with StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
No release date for Diablo 3 is currently known, though it is expected to be released late next year.
