Someone at Blizzard must be extremely clever because they figured out a way to sell more copies of StarCraft II. It’s not as easy as you would think. You see, since everyone in Korea will already buy the game how can they sell more copies? Simple, by splitting the game into three parts. StarCraft is known for having three simultaneous races. So instead of giving triple the content in a single game, Blizzard has decided to give a third of the content in triple the amount of games. Blizzard’s executive vice-president of game design, Rob Pardo, explains the games as being more or less “stand-alone expansions”.
“It’s a separate product. Look at the next two as expansion packs, but will have the feel of stand alone products.”
The StarCraft II games are as follows: Terrans - Wings of Liberty, the Zerg - Heart of the Swarm, and Protoss - Legacy of the Void. Oddly enough, Blizzard hasn’t announced that StarCraft II will be sold at a discount price.

1What the hell?
I will rage if those three game parts are sold full price…
Bah, I’ll just wait for the Zerg part then…

2Chances are they wont be full price, but don’t expect a significant discount either. I’m pretty sure Blizzard will charge near full price for the first game and make the next two around $30.

3Since when did all these gaming companies become such bastards? I tried to play the Witcher after I’d bought it, but like, all that DMR content basically screwed my computer, and Spore did the same thing.
And now Blizzard is trying to rip its loyal fans off? See this is what happens when a company becomes too big for its britches. Screw this. Screw Blizzard trying to screw gamers over, especially when the economy sucks. Just watch as Starcraft II joins Spore as one of the most pirated games out there.
They’ll never understand until you punish them.

4The sad truth is, Blizzard could charge per hour of gameplay and StarCraft II would still be successful.

7This is bullshit! Blizzard, you better change it, there is still time, if not. Fuck you Blizzard bastards in creating your first gamer error. I feel backstabed for trusting, I WILL Get your three games free from Pirate Bay then, fuck buying if three games comes to the case!

The article is completely wrong. Blizzard are not giving a third of the content in triple the amount of games. They’re giving THREE TIMES the content in triple the amount of games. Kind of a big difference, don’t you think?
