Suda Talks No More Heroes Sequel

October 18th, 2008 Posted in Action, Wii by Rajiv Ashrafi

No-More-Heroes-1 The first details of No More Heroes 2 had been revealed after a teaser trailer was dropped at the Tokyo Game Show last week. But more details come courtesy of designer Goichi Suda in an interview to Eurogamer.

"I wanted to make a lot more stuff, more detail. So this time in No More Heroes 2, I want to take my revenge," he revealed. "And actually, the theme of No More Heroes 2 is revenge, so…"

He explained that the sequel comes due to the commercial success of the original. Suda added that it is time for the game to “become serious” but that it “won’t be too serious.”

Suda also talked about how the game could have jumped ship to Xbox 360, but did not due to the Wii-mote.

"One of the really good points of this game was the way we used the remote control. … If we took the Wii out of the equation, we’d have lost that, so the answer was that we had to make it on the Wii," he explained.

The sequel is due out sometime next year exclusively on Wii.
